Kate Newhouse



Originally from Sonoma County, Kate Newhouse first began life on the Monterey Peninsula as a resident student at Santa Catalina School.


After Santa Catalina, Kate attended Mills College where she studied  Economics, studying in both California and Chile.


In 2002 Kate began graduate school at Santa Clara University,  earning a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology in 2005 and licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 2007. Kate is a member of the CAMFT, sits on the board of the MC-CAMFT, and is a Parnell Institute member.  


Since her career began in 2004 at Monterey Bay Psychiatric Center and CHOMP, Kate has had a practice of collaboration with physicians,  therapists and educators in the care of children and adults. With depth of experience in both educational and medical settings, Kate specializes in the treatment of young people, adults and families who struggle with trauma and mood.
